U P B A stands for
the German term “UNTERNEHMENSPATENSCHAFTEN” or “UNTERNEHMENSPARTNERSCHAFT”
– the meaning is „Godfathers“ or „Business Partners“ of Entrepreneurs - and Business Angels.
The partners of the network have been working together for several years now
supporting entrepreneurs in shaping their ideas into sustainable businesses.
The network is coordinated by
Ulrich Schweiker, Ph.D. who also serves as single point of contact.
In his main activities Dr. Schweiker has been a researcher, teacher, and academician and continues to serve as senior lecturer at various management education centers and universities.
He looks back on a long successful career as manager and corporate executive
(Volkwagen, Bilfinger, Krupp, Sulzer, Andersen Consulting / Accenture, ABB-Alstom) with a focus on international Human Resources Management, Organisation Development, and Leadership / Executive Coaching, establishing Learning Organisations and Quality Cultures.
He has been active member / international affiliate in numerous professional organizations, including the Society for Human Resources Management SHRM, International Organization Development Association IODA, American Psychological Association APA, and was a board member of the European Consortium for the Learning Organization ECLO.
He is one of the founders of the Deidesheimer Kreis, a story-telling based initiative to foster the idea of sustainable management with senior executives and entrepreneurs. Based on the approach to enable corporate change and transformation by courageous and non-dogmatic procedures, accepting the limits of planning and prognoses, and aiming at soft transitions towards sustainable shifts of mindsets (www.deidesheimerkreis.de). With a similar goal he co-initiated also the talks in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Quedlinburg (www.quedlinburgergespraeche.de)
He recently served as ‘Product Manager Coaching’ at the start-up Vitalibery GmbH linking Apps, eLearning, and phone coaching to enhance the health and wellbeing status of global corporate workforces.
Dr. Schweiker is a longtime lecturer at various institutions for executive further education as well as distant learning for next generation managers. He currently teaches International Human Resources Management, Social Psychology, and Project Management, Change Navigation and Transformation Management.
Continuously Dr. Schweiker offers unique appointments as a coach for entrepreneurs / executives / governance board members, especially in transition phases
